Moderns & f.victims are gonna love this one, we do too … as a one-time-only accessory. The Playbutton (45x7mm) is just like any other wearable pin, only slightly heavier (11grams) and with an mp3 inside!

The guys  from Parte LLC (8 people from NY, Barcelona & Tokyo) want to keep exploiting the mp3 as a fashion accessory concept before it disappears (the smartphones have completely taken over the mp3 market). Their “Playbutton” concept (which seems will start production next month) has a rechargeable lithium battery and will only play one album which cannot be altered or deleted.

one of the first albums to be released will be the one from The Bubbles

The audio output & the charger are shared in one jack (like the iPod shuffle 3rd Gen) and it does have a play/pause button, as well as skip & rewind (which also act as volume buttons). Will this concept really work or we shall only see it produced for promotional occasions?

Either way, we want one, or two.. or maybe 100K for each album we buy each week…. although having 100K pins wouldn’t be practical would it? Mmmmmm… (more info on their website).
