“Pacman meets Hitman” or better yet “Gauntlet meets Hitman”, that’s how some have described Pocketwatch‘s latest game which won an “Excellence in Design and the Seumas McNally Grand Prize” at this year’s IGF…..

We’re still waiting for a final release date of this cooperative stealth game (up to 4 players): “Monaco” what’s yours is mine. The aim of the game is to steal, yes, as much as you can… you come out of retirement for one last score choosing between a wide range of characters… the redhead, the rat, the mimic, the prowler, the hacker, the locksmith, the cleaner… each with it’s own strength (the Hacker for example can shut down the security systems while the Muscle blows a hole through the wall) … because in the end this game is about team success. Everything in a top down, tile-based beauty… going retro in gaming has become so trendy lately… but this one looks amazing.

As you’ve probably guessed, Monaco is a heist game inspiring itself from Hollywood classics such as Ocean’s 11.

As we were saying b4 the game was developed by Pocketwatch Games… which is Andy Schatz on his own, and although we know it will be released for PC, it seems one (maybe all) lucky on-line console platform will also be getting it.  Anxious? We are.
