You’ve always wanted your own custom-designed beer haven’t you? Well if you live in Ireland or Spain you may well be able to customize it just like a pair of Nike or Adicolor trainers… although this time is a pack of 6 Heineken…
AKQA and Heineken are bringing the customized beer bottle to the mainstream with “Your Heineken” and their neat online tool that allows you to customise almost 100% of the bottle in 3D (you can add photos, text at the front & the back… and choose amongst more than 40 designs).
If you live in Ireland it will cost you around 30€ for that 6 beer pack and 22€ if in Spain (tax & delivering included)… not very cheap for 6 bottles but… no-0ne said being “cool” in an alcoholic way was easy…. it’s more like the opposite.
You should take into account that the lyfecycle of these beers is about 3 months… and the take 12 days for delivering in Spain & 15 in Ireland so if you’re planning a future party do calculate your timings.
If the initiative succeeds (Ireland & Spain are always testing markets….) they may expand it to other countries and it may well be available from any website in the future (they’re thinking about this possibility). Not a bad gift for your beer-lover brother huh?
