Small door, big world… if you have kids you may consider this … an interior door with an integrated small door for children! An idea that Jjoo design (German studio from Karlsruhe) have started to commercialize under the Minjjoo brand…

Minjjoo comes comes in a white chalkboard coating, so it allows you to quickly wipe off any paintings made with chalks and water soluble markers!

It is produced and sold by door manufacturer Holitsch and it comes in 2 standard sizes although you can always ask for them to customize it. How much for your kids smile? 600€! (including VAT but no shipping). You can order it on their website.

Johannes Marmon & Johannes Müller are the ones behind your kids joy; founded jjoo design in 2007 and both studied product design at the University of Arts and Design (also in Karlsruhe, now we all have learned a new city!).


The only “but” we could find is…. when all your kids are 8 or older and can’t possibly (or won’t) use the door anymore… you have to buy a new one! But the guys at Jjoo will probably have come up with a new door by then.
