Most of you probably know Yann Tiersen only from Amelie’s soundtrack, but he’s about to release his 6th album “Dust Lane” next month, and we honestly can’t wait until October 4th (12th for USA, sorry)….Two years in the making, it was largely recorded on Tiersen’s current home of Ouessant, a small island off the coast of West Britanny, with further parts recorded on an island in the south Philippines and last touches and final mix at The Chairworks Studio in Castelford with producer Ken Thomas (Sigur Rós, M83, Dave Gahan).

An album which has been delayed… god knows how many times, but is finally here! And to celebrate we bring you this live concert from last summer’s Route du Rock festival (northern France).. nearly an hour and a half of pure Tiersen musicality. Enjoy it to the very last second as it’s on-line for limited time!!!

We also recommend you watching this “Dark Stuff” live, third track of the album. If you’re in Europe you may have the opportunity to see him as he’s on the Dust Lane tour until the end of December. Hey but it’s not all bad news for you Americans! “Ashes” (also from the album) is free for you to download on amazon as part of their 1st to hear September playlist (last track).
