Bobble water bottle

Apparently the guys who designed bobble where thinking how to save the planet when they came up with their on-the-go filtering water bottle. Karim Rashid is behind the design and the “exclusive” UK department store finally brought it to the Islands 3 days ago…

Well we say “finally” although we won’t buy it as we don’t belong to that (high) percentage of the population obsessed with water filtering even though here in London the water is quite hard. However this kind of product is always welcome in markets like the States or the UK…

“The UK spends more than £1 billion every year purchasing bottled water and most plastic bottles are casually discarded, only to end up in the nation’s landfills. Using a single bobble filter will reduce the environmental impact on landfills by more than 300 water bottles”. So if you buy loads of plastic bottles… then please think about buying one of these… for around 10$ on amazon (only for the USA) or for £10 @ Harvey Nichols (mmmm guess they do not respect the 10$ – 6£ conversion rate…).

Bobble can hold 0.55L and comes in six distinct colours: green, red, blue, magenta, black and yellow. As water passes over the carbon filter, the negative ions of contaminants are drawn to the carbon granules – leaving the water “crisper and cleaner tasting than ever”. Magic!!
