“Running on the iPad wave can be veeeeeeery dangerous”, that’s what some critics say about this new pad coming from the labs of German IT companies Neofonie + 4tiitoo running their own OS.

Their Berlin press conference was 2 days ago and grabbed a lot of attention from the German media …

As you probably know this device is a 11,6″ multitouch tablet which basically differentiates itself from the iPad by using an operating system that supports Android, Java & Adobe apps, having multitask & adding the possibility to connect your devices via USB (you can see a full spec list on this ).

Most importantly they’ve announced interesting partners like Siemens, Intel and Adobe … however the most obvious one, Google, is out of their equation… why?

This German Pad won’t be really available until this summer…. and not precisely on the cheap side: 449€ for the wi-fi 16GB version and 569€ for the 32GB – 3G version….

The User Interface is neither a killer strength, but we guess it should get most of the job done
