The annual MiArt Fair is on at Milan’s Fiera Milano, running March 30 to April 2.
Now in its 22nd year, the event brings together modern and contemporary art that seeks to find “links between the past and present.” Artistic director Alessandro Rabottini has worked with a number of collaborators to put on the ambitious and multi-faceted project.

The fair is made up of six sections, including ‘Established,’ curated by Alberto Salvadori, ‘Generations,’ curated Douglas Fogle and Nicola Lees, ‘Emergent,’ curated by an advisory committee, which includes David Hoyland of London’s Seventeen and Emanuel Layr of Vienna’s Galerie Emanuel Layr. Finally, ‘Decades’ is curated by Alberto Salvadori, ‘On Demand’ by Oda Albera, and ‘Object’ by Domitilla Dardi.
In addition, there will be a collaboration between MiArt Talks and production house In Between Art Film that will explore a relevant issue concerning “the present and the future of biennials and the challenges of recurring exhibitions.” Over 40 directors, artists and curators will come together to participate in roundtable discussions on this theme.
