Uma Breakdown & Alfie Strong are presenting two-person exhibition Green Fuzz at London’s Xero, Kline & Coma, opening November 10 and running to December 4.

The show explores shifting physical states and deterioration through a lens of trans-human studies and “mental health, disability and science, together with a collective admiration for mythology, folklore, fiction and horror.”

The duo, who have been working together since early 2016, work with sound, sculpture and other materials to explore language and the limits and politics of the body with a particular focus on disability.

Did you pack this bag, yourself? @ Exchange Rates, Oct 20- 23

Group exhibition Did you pack this bag, yourself? will be on at New York’s Exchange Rates Fair opening October 20 to 23.

Hosted by artist/curator initiative Sluice at Brooklyn’s Buggy Factory, the London based 12ø Collective has invited Georgia GendallCharlotte Salt  and Alfie Strong to present new work that fits within the confines of hand luggage. The exhibitions asks the artists to respond and experiment with “the regulations and restrictions of weight, size and material in carry on luggage, while finding an alternative strategy so not to compromise their practice, when transportation is a priority.”

The Exchange Rates Fair is run by artist/curator organisations based between Brooklyn and London which host an international exposition of new work and is running October 23 to 26.

Tokyo Drift @ Sean’s Mum’s Car, Oct 1 – 4

As part of Art Licks Weekend 2015Millington | Marriott presents a new group show titled Tokyo Drift and taking place in “Sean’s mum’s car” from October 1 to October 4.

The group exhibition begins in a car in Choumert Grove Car Park and takes boy racer culture as its starting point. The four contributing artists—Luke OverinAlfie StrongJessica Mai Walker, and Jesse Wine—exhibit their works in an old Ford Fiesta, each “creating an addition/alteration to the existing vehicle in conjunction with their practice”.

Over the course of the weekend, Tokyo Drift shifts locations across London, combining the “high and low cultures” and considering them with equal levels of irony and sincerity.
