L’hypothèse des halos non lumineux @ Galerie Gounod – Paris

If on their January exhibition on Thomas Lévy-Lasne we were attracted to GG by his voyeuristic take on the banal day-to-day life activities it seems we won’t be able to ignore their new proposal for the spring. Galerie Isabelle Gounod brings this month a first to central Paris, Aurore Pallet’s « l’hypothèse des halos non lumineux ».

Dark and blurry Aurore Pallet’s latest paintings present themselves as a series of horrifying scenes taken from a 70s terror movie where creatures used to hide under your bed and uknown government agencies conspired to bury nasty secrets underground.

Aurore, very interested in astrophysics, the dark matter enigmas and all those things our naked human eye can’t see, those things which conform a reality that we may never understand. And for her, painting is a way of trying to capture those unapproachable mysteries.
