It all started in the early 90s (1993) in Post Alley, under Pike Place Market (Seattle) when people would stick their chewing gum on the wall while having to wait in line to get their theater tickets….
Running a full 25 days, the 36th Seattle International Film Festival will present 189 narrative features, 54 documentary features, 13 archival films, and 150 short films from 67 countries. SIFF 2010 runs from May 20 through June 13 at 11 venues throughout Seattle, as well as venues in Kirkland and Everett.
This year’s festival will pay a tribute to Edward Norton, dedicate special attention to the prolific Spanish film industry, new American Independent cinema and many other carefully packed sections like the short film packages or the futurewave shorts.
They’ve created a very attractive film discovery tool called “SIFFter” plus an iPhone app for those iPhone lovers of yours.
