Stockholm’s Moderna Museet is presenting the LQQKS screening and presentation on December 11.
The event aims to examine the “work, life and activism” of Stonewall veteran and famous New York drag queen Marsha P. Johnson, along with the “ongoing exclusions of transgender persons in contemporary historiography as well as in popular culture”.
Organised by Masha Taavoniku and Johan Norling, showings include a presentation by Anthony Clair Wagner and screenings of Navid Sinaki‘s short video, ‘Pop!’ (2009) and Michael Kasino’s ‘Pay it No Mind: Marsha P. Johnson’ (2012).
