Bridget Moser + Jon Sasaki @ Mercer Union, Jul 23

21 July 2016

Bridget Moser and Jon Sasaki are presenting a screening of recent video work at Toronto’s Mercer Union on July 23.

Presented in partnership with Trinity Square Video, the event coincides with a solo exhibition at they gallery by Jason Dodge with poet CAConrad titled Width of a Witch. Some of the videos in the programme include Sasaki’s ‘Ru be Goldb erg Mach ine’ (2014), ‘Serious Vocalists Attempting an Unserious Party Trick’ (2013), and Moser’s ‘Asking for a Friend’ (2013).

Moser works predominantly in performance and video. Her work occupies the territory between prop comedy, existential anxiety, and Dr. Phil transcripts. Sasaki also in performance and video, working object and installation into a framework where expectation and outcome never align, generating a simultaneous sense of pathos and fun.

See the Mercer Union gallery website for details.**
