Jennifer Bailey @ Space in Between, Mar 17 – Apr 23

16 March 2016

Jennifer Bailey is presenting a solo exhibition, A brief history of girliness, at London’s Space in Between, opening March 17 and running to April 23.

The Glasgow-based artist, whose work is typically concerned with “the permeability of art production to patriarchal structures, desire, capital and paid work”, constructs an obstructive installation made from architectural, infrastructural, commercial and pharmaceutical materials.

In doing so, Bailey aims to manage her own “ambition and forms of mobility” through a built environment of representative objects and images that explore “visible mechanisms of creative (and self-) production”.
