So apparently Iceland is one of the most online countries in the world but the population also happens to be deeply connected to its natural surroundings. At least that was the gist of it when we interviewed video artist Máni Sigfússon there a couple months ago. As another example of the cybernetic unreality of the stunning Icelandic landscape is Good Moon Deer‘s ‘Again’, a project featuring artist, graphic designer and musician Guðmundur Úlfarsson and drummer Ívar Pétur Kjartansson.
Far from being disembodied, its an experimental collage of sounds and visuals combining glistening piano loops and live drums, with reverse brass samples and radio transmissions to create a mutable hybrid not unlike that of NYC The Books off-shoot, Zammuto.
