The 32HH8IT group exhibition is on at Hamburg’s 2025 Aktion project space, opening July 15.

Curated by Switzerland and Mexico City-based artist Garrett Nelson and featuring work by Marvin Dosal Moses Al-Maraz, Fabio Cirillo, Roman Gysin and Frieda Toranzo Jaeger, the exhibition aims to show a few queer positions from the Hamburg art scene.

Nelson presents the artists and their work in the context of the residency he has just completed at Achterhaus, as well as the “outmoded alternative subculture” by which he describes Hamburg as a City in the accompanying press release.

Expect an installation of various oversized body parts by Cirillo that will also become part of a performance of a German chanson about love, difference and rejection, and Roman Gysin’s transformation into ‘Alte Povera’.
