The 12th edition of HTMlles Festival is happening at venues across Montreal, opening November 3 and running to November 6.
Produced and coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the feminist artist-run space Studio XX, the international biennial festival brings together a wide range of artists, activists and scholars who engage with socio-political topics and their relation to the web through a feminist, trans, and gender non-conforming perspective.
Each year, a specific theme is discussed through performances, exhibitions, conferences and workshops, with this one being ‘Terms of Privacy’ and will explore intimacy and politics in relation to transparency.
Some recommendations include:
CTRL + [SELF] : Intimacy, extimacy and control in the age of the overexposure of self group exhibition featuring Amalia Ulman, Eva + Franco Mattes and Daniela Müller, among others.
