A storm of music, performance + hair brush drama from Institute for New Feeling, Sun Araw + Molly Surno at Getty Museum, Jul 14

10 July 2017

Institute for New Feeling, Sun Araw, and Molly Surno are presenting work at Los Angeles’ Getty Museum on July 14.

Curated by Sarah Cooper as part of the Californian institution’s Friday Flights program, artists are invited to “transform the Getty experience” through a series of interdisciplinary happenings. Los Angeles-based producer and musician Sun Araw (aka Cameron Stallones) will be play live, while artist Surno’s ‘We of Me’ performance, featuring Brian Chase of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, includes a choreographed soundscape using hand-crafted musical hair brushes held by 20 men.

Los Angeles- and Pittsburgh-based art collective Institute for New Feeling, meanwhile, is co-ordinating a mass live-streaming video and IRL event, speculating on life in the event of a natural disaster.

See the FB event page for details.**
