Rencontres Internationales – Call for entries – Paris
20/07/2011 - 10/09/2011
After Paris, Madrid & Berlin is time for the city of lights to host once again that contemporary cinema mish mash called the “Rencontres Internationales” which since 1997 hasn’t stopped discovering us some of the best new works in contemporary cinema and arts. The French city will bring that fine selection of works from the thousands of submissions they’ll be receiving and for their November edition the call for entries is still open!
(“Cirque One” by César Pesquera)
Rencontres Internationales opened up to Madrid in 2007 (previously had been a Paris – Berlin only thingy) and has become one of the essential multidisciplinary European platforms where all artists can gather and meet, exchange with the public and develop new projects. Flying from Beaubourg to Reina Sofia then to Haus der Kulturen der Welt, our cultural date is back to the red-blue-green-yellow pipe and air conduct monster for a winter delight.
(Hans Op Beek’s “Sea of Tranquility was presented during this year’s Berlin & Madrid editions, this is the recently published app)
The international program of film, video & multimedia which will invade the Centre Pompidou from November 18 to 26 (along with a cycle of debates, discussion panels…etc) still needs to be defined for this year’s edition. And they’re more than happy to welcome any of your multimedia works produced over the last couple of years and which hasn’t been displayed publicly in Paris before.
Pretty much those are the two main criteria as you can submit individually or as a group as many entries as you like in any film or video format you wish (animation, documentary, film, shorts….) as well as installations, webart, multimedia performances…. quite open as you can see. Rest of FAQ & details this way.
The program will then be unveiled next October and we’ll give you full detail of the event, prices and venues. Stay tuned!
