The 7th and most extensive Creative Time Summit launches today in Venice with three full days of panel discussions, presentations, keynote addresses, artist projects, and events throughout August 11, 12 and 13.

Curated by Creative Time‘s Chief Curator, Nato Thompson, a selection of artists attending the New York non-profit’s annual art and politics platform will share their work and practices, and audience members outside of Venice will be able to contribute to the discourse through Livestream screening sites around the globe, providing continuous opportunities for debate.

The three-day programme includes performances and interventions by Pedro Lasch, Marinella Senatore, Nástio Mosquito, and Ahmet Ögüt with Fino Blendax, keynotes by Amy Goodman, artist Mariam Ghani in conversation with the president of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani, and Achille Mbembe, a presentation by Teju Cole for “The Geography of Learning”, and a statement by Joshua Wong representing the Hong Kong activist group, Scholarism.

Taking place at the Cymru yn Fenis Wales in Venice collateral exhibition venue will be the Press Room special project, which as part of the Summit’s theme of “The Curriculum” invites a number of guest editors to present conceptual briefings.
