Exquisite Corpse is performing live at London’s Rye Wax on August 12.
Music promoters and event organisers Body Motion promise a rare performance by the elusive band led by Robbert Heynen of Dutch deep techno group Psychick Warriors ov Gaia, also affiliated with Psychic TV‘s Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth fellowship in the 80s. Sprung from its early 90s roots, the press release describes an evening with Exquisite Corpse as one of “mystic rhythms and the long gong”.
The Body Motion collective, who also have a show of the same name on NTS Radio, goes on to describe expectations of the performance using appropriately ritualistic, transcendental language in summoning of “our father the Exquisite Corpse”, where “infinite ecstasy is implied” and one can expect “blueprint techno/antecedent trax, complex delays, throbbing low-end, war chants” and more.
