The CARREFOUR group exhibition is opening at Brussels’ Komplot space, opening March 21 and running to April 12.
Featuring Caroline Pekle, Karl Larsson, Wolfgang Fütterer and Nicolas Matranga (with Rūta Juneviciūtė), the show is presumably referencing the French multi-national retailer of the same name and comes accompanied by a stream of disjointed words and their associations that the experience of shopping often is.
Within the lexical current is the fragmented art jargon of “can hang”, “as an object as a object” and “performance as non existing talk object” drawing on parallels with art as commodity and ending with a definitive “all talk”.
