Francesco Urbano Ragazzi @ ZHdK, Nov 22

21 November 2016

Francesco Urbano Ragazzi is presenting Re-Reality and Other Words at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) on November 22.

The curatorial duo Francesco Urbano Ragazzi will be presenting a lecture that acts as a re-reading of sorts; a compilation of some of their recent projects. The pair looks at new forms of art production, exhibiting, writing and researching through a lens of “gender studies, the digital aesthetics and the emerging art scenes.”

The event is inspired by the film Decoder and by the Swiss artist Peter Regli who elaborates on this concept of ‘reality hacking’ and will be formulated around two main projects: the online project A Mystical Staircase (2016) and director Jonas Mekas (2015) for the 56th Venice Biennale.

The lecture is part of exhibition series put on by Johanna Bruckner and Claudia Kübler and its keywords are “independence VS autonomy, hacktivism, interpassivity, muzak, elevation, net stoicism.”
