26 September 2016

Dan Hayhurst and Grumbling Fur are performing at London’s Oslo on the evening of September 27.

Presented by London-based record label and live music promoter Upset The Rhythm, the night will be host to an evening of experimental pop-tones and shape-shifting electronics. The Hackney food, drink and sound venue has been running since 2014 by London’s DHP Family.

Grumbling Fur, the duo of Alexander Tucker and Daniel O’Sullivan, have been working together since 2011 with a strong focus on psychedelic pop. The tracks from their new album Furfour is inspired by “birth, loss, friendship, death, those things that happen to us all.” Dan Hayhurst, who is part of the duo Sculpture presents what the press release calls “warped guitar and percussion moiré meet fragments of media detritus and electronic sound. Future Brown @ Oslo, Feb 8

7 February 2014

NYC/LA group Future Brown is playing its first show in London at new venue Oslo, February 8.

The band, featuring Fatima Al Qadiri, Nguzunguzu and J-Cush, premiered their live set at MoMA, accompanied by a choreographed basketball game in collaboration with DIS Magazine last year. That’s after months of teasing with ‘Wanna Party‘ feat. Tink and soundtracking Babak Radboy and Telfar Clemens’ trailer for the latter’s fashion line.

This time around they promise some “special guest Grime-MCs” from whom they draw much inspiration. Fingers-crossed for some of those featured on Future Brown’s latest ‘World’s Mine
