Nicolas Ceccaldi is opening his first solo exhibition, titled Nightmare Factory at Mathew Gallery, where it will run from January 22 to February 28.
The Montreal-born and Berlin-based artist is introducing his most recent work to the public with works hanging down into the space from the gallery’s ceiling.
Taking Newton’s gravitational laws of physics and the psychological condition of cognitive dissonance as its points of inspiration and exploration, the exhibition examines the encounter of these laws with those of the non-physical realm.
