Crisis + techno-optimism in Letting Go / Sodródás at Trafó Gallery, Mar 30 – May 7

28 March 2017

The Letting Go / Sodródás group exhibition at Budapest’s Trafó Gallery, opening March 30 and running to May  7.

Curated by Jan Zálešák and organized in collaboration with Are, the show will explore “how contemporary art can regain it’s orientation towards the future” and features work by Jan Brož, Marek Delong & Anna Slama, Keresztes Zsófia and Pavel Sterec

The exhibition oscillates between mental states of crisis in relation to endangered life on earth, and techno-optimism of acceleration philosophy, both looking toward a future where the human “gives up its hegemony, and ‘dissolves’ into an undistinguished unity between nature, culture, and technology.”
