Lima Zulu is putting on a night of films on sub-Saharan Africa from 4pm on January 12.
Films include controversial 2012 film-gone-viral, Kony, by Invisible Children aimed at raising awareness of the operations of Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony and interactive documentary on self-organisation and urbanisation in Nigeria Lagos Wide & Close, by Bregtje van der Haak and Rem Koolhaas. Perhaps most pertinently, Enjoy Poverty provides an insight into complicity with Dutch artist Renzo Martens‘ three-year journey through the Congo asking, “who owns poverty?”
