I start from the image of an end

FormContent talk @ X Marks the Bökship, 29 Oct

29 October 2014

X Marks the Bökship will host an event called I start from the image of an end and centred around FormContent’s most recent publication at Matt’s Gallery in London today.

The publication in question is titled It’s moving from I to it, designed by Atelier Dreibholz and edited by FormContent, and functions as part documentation, part artists’s book with contributions from dozens of artists, writers and critics, including Martin Gustavsson, Manon De Boer, Pilvi Takala, and Beatriz Olabarrieta. The nomadic project evolved over two years and a host of various exhibitions, performances, readings and commissioned texts.

Tonight’s talk brings a handful of those responsible for the book’s creation, including editing’s Bianca Baroni, design’s Paulus Dreibholz, as well as contributor Gil Leung, and Pieternel Vermoortel and Eleanor Vonne Brown who were in charge of, respectively, production and distribution, and, finally, Paul Becker doing the narration for the night. The talk’s title, derived from the publication’s opening piece, hints to its premise, namely that of creation and how the publication was conceived, produced and disseminated.

See the FB event page for details. **
