Artists Hongzhe Liang and Matthew Bell are presenting A Translation Service™ Seattle’s at Glass Box gallery, opening September 17 and running to October 17.
Brought up on opposite sides of the world, the two artists recognise their ethical, cultural, political and geographical differences in an exhibition that explores the fragmented conversation that follows. A commonality between Bell and Liang is found in their paradoxically divergent aspirations, with “the impending shift in their senses of home: “Hongzhe is making the decision to live and work in Seattle, Matthew is preparing to explore the world”.
