A group exhibition curated by Fredi Fischli and Niel Olsen is opening at Basel’s Nicolas Krupp Gallery, opening November 5 and running to December 19.
The exhibition will present the work of four different artists; Nicole Eisenman, Friedrich Kuhn, Yuji Nagai and Trevor Shimizu. Further details are scarce but it is clear from the artists selected that painting will play a central role, although by no means exclusively.
For instance, Shimizu’s solo exhibition of the artist’s selected works at London’s Evelyn Yard revealed a multi-layered approach to the generic clichés of daily life.
