Maria Fusco talk @ Collective, May 11

9 May 2016

Glasgow-based writer and critic Maria Fusco will present a talk at Edinburgh’s Collective space on the evening of May 11.

The event is titled, Excavating Site: How to Write a Repertoire for a Mountain and will cover the research methods and modes of practice Fusco employed for her recent project, ‘Master Rock‘ (2015), which contains a radio show, a book and various other pieces of documentation. Fusco, a researcher at Edinburgh College of Art, looks into how physical forces construct and shape dialects and voices as well the kinds of invisible forces that lie in power stations under and in hollowed out mountains.

Fusco currently coordinates the series, Happy Hypocrite, published by Book Works, most recently inviting Sophia Al Maria to edit the eighth issue, ‘Fresh Hell‘ (2015), which aqnb reviewed earlier this year.
