Caustic Coastal

Rebecca Sangster + Oliver Hickmet @ Caustic Coastal, Feb 17

16 February 2016

Caustic Coastal will host a new talk programme at Manchester’s Islington Mill, starting with London based artists, Rebecca Sangster and Oliver Hickmet on February 17.

The talks will happen on the third Wednesday of every month and, it seems, will weave conversations between artists who have previously shown with Caustic Coastal.

There is a BYOB policy as well as a potluck dinner, to which all are invited. It feels like a nice angle into the current interest of asking artists to reflect on their work, present in front of an audience.

See the FB Event invite for more details. **

The archive is described as one of ‘mountain accident data’, inviting players to step into a fantasy world “where the logics of labeling is undone and the rationality of information is reshuffled”.

Bonneviot has had a busy year herself, working with Anne de Boer to compose the ‘Shroom Music & Myco_educational_VJ-set’, The Mycological Twist installation at London’s Jupiter Woods, and putting on a performance with Harry Burke to accompany Sanssouci Reality‘s Issue #1: The Latte Vision in the
