Jonas Lund @ Boetzelaer | Nispen online now

7 September 2015

Swedish artist Jonas Lund has launched a new online work called ‘Sentiment & Manipulation’ in partnership with Amsterdam gallery Boetzelaer | Nispen this month.

The online work continues Lund’s earlier project, Studio Practice, which also ran at the gallery and had Lund transforming the Amsterdam art space into an art production line with four assistants working full time throughout the run of the exhibition to 300-page instructions created by Lund expressly for them.

With ‘Sentiment & Manipulation’, Lund creates a 3×10 meter canvas visible on the project website, presented in a map-like system. “To the left of the screen,” the press release details, “there’s a crop tool, which can be used to divide the canvas into smaller compositions. These can in turn be reserved and purchased by a selection of invited collectors, stretched on high quality stretcher bars and signed as works of art.”

See the project website for details. **
