Home to the half rendered. Denying the Inflammability of the Twigs Found in the Copse… at 3236RLS

10 October 2017

The Denying the Inflammability of the Twigs Found in the Copse this Morning group exhibition is on at London’s 3236RLS, opening October 13 and running to October 22.

Organised by Felix Riemann, the installation and screenings will include video works by Luzie Meyer, Nikhil Vettukattil, Shaun Motsi and Cornelia Herfurtner. The opening night will feature live sound by Patchfinder, and DJ sets by Calder Gillie, Matilda Tjäder and Zoe Williams.

The press release leaves little to be revealed, but instead includes an open-ended narrative that takes place “in a courtyard, on a mythical stage, understandable home-zone, home to the half rendered.”

Image to Scale @ John McAslan, Nov 13 – Dec 11

14 November 2014

The John McAslan + Partners architecture firm is hosting a group show titled Image to Scale and running at their London location from November 13 to December 11.

The group exhibition, which brings together eight diverse artists, with a text by writer Eleanor Weber, takes place in an architectural firm by design. “Architecture traffics in the tension of image and scale.” The artists traffic between image and architecture through their works, office infrastructure and art bleeding into one another.

Those exhibiting are diverse in form, but their ventures into the architectural and material dimensions provides an umbrella to their collective work, whether it is in the sculptural graphics of Lydia Davies, the everyday-object installations of Chris Ifould, and the video works of Polish-born artist and filmmaker Piotr Krzymowski. Five other artists exhibiting their works alongside these three, include Sean Lavelle, Asta Meldal Lynge, Cameron Scott, Tilly Shiner and Nikhil Vettukattil.

See the FB exhibition page for details. **
