“Like a hunter or a botanist”, that’s how Josh Dorman describes himself when talking about his creative process. In love with nature and old worlds taken from forgotten books he will mix extinct species with Victorian machines, far away sceneries with forgotten beings.

Taking old to create new, New York-based artist Josh Dorman will enter John Martin Gallery next Friday for 3 weeks of narrative showcasing of his impossible pieces always filled with visual plots & subplots.

“I generate fields of visual detritus, then bury and re-excavate, wander between flesh, feather, metal, bone, rock.” states Dorman, a creator of fables and epic journeys which could inspire any contemporary scriptwriter for a new sci-fi or adventure series.
