Skate qui sèche @ Upian – Paris
06/05/2011 - 11/06/2011
freeNew month, new exhibition at our favorite Parisian Gallery: Agnes Rosse, the skate voyager.
Agnes travels, crosses, exchanges. In her regular trips she finds unusual objects, life representations. It’s a way of traveling… always looking down to the floor. She takes things that already exist, things that are there, at hand, things that are free and she can pick up. She makes them her property, her gifts, her lot.
Agnes is a quiet adventurer. She’s a poet in essence and tries to build with others her semantic and poetic gateways. She’s a poet that rides the road, because Agnes Rosse really does it, she puts wheels under pieces of tarmac. And then we call that a sculpture.
Agnes works with plants, with concrete, with air, empty air. She’s capable of letting things go, she doesn’t force them. She makes everything herself, in her own way. Her plastic inventions are made with great accuracy & caution. Her designs speak of sensuality, intimacy but also about the hate and violence that shakes our current world. (extract from the text written by Pierre Tilman for the exhibition).
A vast lot of feelings we encourage you to visit & experience @ this tiny but always immense Parisian gallery (for free of course) until June 11th. Enjoy!
