Dahong’s works have always assimilated and mixed historical events from Maoist times to present day although he admits having a fixation on the period 1966-1976, generational jokes, educational pieces and a long list of satires that do not only stay within Chinese borders but which have many times used our local western icons for an even more universal laughter.
