Ceux qui arrivent @ Le Bal – Paris
14/12/2012 @ 6:00 pm - 06/01/2013 @ 5:00 pm
freeEnding the year with some young photography is something we weren’t expecting as we usually start the year with Circulation(s) festival which is precisely one of the most important young photography events in France, but… Le Bal are about to open “Ceux qui arrivent” (those who arrive) as a way to showcase recent works by young talented new photographers, and celebrate the Ecole nationale supérieure de la photographie d’Arles who happens to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Split in 2, “Ceux qui arrivent” proposes on one side the winner of the 3rd edition of Le Bal’s Young Talents award which has allowed Dorothée Davoise to continue her investigation works she started back in 2008 on the Greek origins of her family, and also one of the favorites of the jury from the 2011 edition: Pierre Toussaint and his “Olaf” series on the SDFs.
On the other side there will be a little selection of young photographers to celebrate the end of Arles’ ENSP 30th anniversary. 8 talents have been selected from over 150 students, most of them still unknown to the public: Pauline Fargue, Vera Schöpe, Laetitia Donval, Lola Hakimian, Gilles Pourtier et Anne-Claire Bro’ch, Johan Attia, Mouna Saboni, Justine Pluvinage.
A good occasion open until January 6th. More info (in French) this way.
