“Part of the ongoing discussions that are very necessary is recognising the work of blackness towards queerness and the work of queerness towards blackness,” says curator, writer and artist Legacy Russell on the thinking behind her unique concept of ‘glitch feminism’. “Expanding each as an imaginary, as a community, as a vernacular, and as well recognising the political spaces that they’ve shared.” Talking with associate editor Jared Davis on topics spanning identity, queer theory and blackness in visual culture for AQNB’s bi-monthly Artist Statement podcast, this latest episode with Russell is available exclusively to subscribers of our Patreon.
