The show featured emerging artists working across sculpture, mixed media, video and performance with Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley, Davinia-Ann Robinson, Ebun Sodipo, Enorê, Favour J, Kengy, Kumbirai Makumbe, Linda Nwachukwu, Miranda Forrester and Rene Matić. Exploring diverse viewpoints on Blackness and Queerness, examples include Davinia-Ann Robinson’s visceral installation spoke to issues of pleasure and power in the erotic for women of colour, through a sculpture of fake hair and synthetic compound with a time-based attention to material. Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley’s performance, installation and multimedia works addressed archives, power structures and their relation to Black, trans people, at times drawing from and adding trans representation to the visual language of video games.**
