Tendryl (aka Jacob Stone) is self-releasing track “Toss Off” on October 13, with a preview premiering on AQNB today. The New York-based producer has performed with the likes of Swan Meat, Dasychira and 7038634357 and has an EP set for release in the winter on Air Max 97‘s Decisions label.
Featuring artwork by Noah Wingren, the record responds to ideas of information overload and the fragile power of contemporary social systems within a sound inspired by club, noise, and trap. The unstable assemblage of gasping vocal samples, crying babies, car horns, howls, is cut up and scattered across a spooky sine wave foundation that’s led by a short sequence of urgent, staccato saxophone notes.**
