Taking place over three chapters, the Vilnius exhibition is the first chapter of the Baltic Triennial, with the other two taking place in Tallinn (opened June 29) and Riga (opening September 21), and features work by over 30 international artists including Darja Bajagić, Pierre Huyghe, Laure Prouvost, Huma Bhabha, Pakui Hardware, Anu Põder, Rachel Rose and others. Alongside the exhibition is a programme of performances featuring Liv Wynter, Adam Christensen, Anton Lukoszevieze, Ieva Rojūtė and others.

Looking at the relationship between independence and dependency as it relates to “territories, cultures, classes, histories, bodies and forms,” the curatorial focus asks what it means “to belong at a time of fractured identities?”**
