Curated by Interface Gallery‘s Suzanne L’Heureux, the show explores “how various means of cultural production are employed to shape our desires and produce us as subjects” and included work by Sara CwynarDébora Delmar, Shana Moulton and Tabita Rezaire.

Culture Industry is a chapter title from Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer’s Dialectic of Enlightenment, which critiques the relationship between capitalism and culture. Using this idea of manipulation, the works look at the “racialized, classed and gendered nature of its influence.”**
