Giada Fiorindi and Federico Floriani presented joint exhibition Lemon In My Eyes at Venice’s VeniceArtFactory, which opened July 1 and ran to September 3.

The installation, which took place in VeniceInaBottle project room as part of VeniceArtFactory, re-interpreted the concept of the Venetian mirror into a kitschy aesthetic that explored “tales of low-res feelings, crystal flowers and Baroque futures.”
In an attempt to sabotage and re-frame traditionally romantic notions, the series of sculptures take silver-plated surfaces and engrave them with drawings and phrases like, “fighting bigotry and digestive problems at once,” and, “faking strength is a tiring activity,” next to angelic animation muses.**
