OAR presented the launch of Issue 1: Sites of Research on May 2 and is currently holding an open call for Issue 3: That’s All there Is which remains open until August 15, 2017.
The online publication (Oxford Artistic and Practice Based Research Platform) was founded in 2016 with Issue Zero: Response, and is edited by Jessyca Hutchens, Anita Paz, Naomi Vogt, and Nina Wakeford.
The current issue contains a number contributions that range from moving image and sound, to textual, research papers and web-based visual art, moving between “a Japanese kiln, a border, a biro line, an art room in a detention centre, an anthem” to name a few subjects covered. It features work by Patrick Goddard, Claire Potter, Mary Bosworth and Khadija von Zinnenburg Carroll and Mischa Twitchin among many others.
The Open Call for Issue 3 seeks proposals that “tackle issues of finitude, remnants, endings and re-visitation.” OAR is always continually accepting submissions for their Response section.

Like what you see on AQNB? We’d like to ask you for some help and encouragement by way of a monthly subscription to our Patreon. All funds raised will go directly to editorial commissioning and therefore support our contributors in their excellent work.
It is only through the dedication and generosity of everyone involved that AQNB manages to continue. More than ever we need to build a resilient space for independent media, one that works in collaboration with its artists, administrators, and audiences. Not everyone can afford to give donations we know - but if you can spare $1 a month, you like what AQNB is about and want to secure this space for the future, then please lend a hand and sign up. Thank u so much! <3
