The On Alchemy and Magic group exhibition is on at Amsterdam’s Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond, opening May 12 and running to July 2, 2017.
Curated by Karen Verschooren of Leuven’s STUK (A House for Dance, Image and Sound), the show includes work by Tobias Revell, Frederik De Wilde, Femke Herregraven, RYBN.ORG, Natalie Kane and Verena Friedrich.
The exhibition looks at the concept of alchemy and magic to ask, “Is there a bridge to be made between the hyper-rational and the irrational? How do we make sense of it?” The works included all respond and explore through various mediums and methods a relationship to making sense of our ‘distanced dark.’**

It is only through the dedication and generosity of everyone involved that AQNB manages to continue. More than ever we need to build a resilient space for independent media, one that works in collaboration with its artists, administrators, and audiences. Not everyone can afford to give donations we know - but if you can spare $1 a month, you like what AQNB is about and want to secure this space for the future, then please lend a hand and sign up. Thank u so much! <3
