The second event series by Jamila Johnson-Small (Last Yearz Interesting Negro) and Sara Sassanelli will host an evening of discussion between three guests at London’s Artsadmin on September 15.

“…A space of interaction and opinions, outside of the institution, beyond your bedroom and beyond your Facebook feed.”

Performance artist and writer Travis Alabanza, activist, performance artist and writer Season Butler and artist Paul Maheke will present short provocations; a catalyst for discussion that will be opened up to the audience for further conversation and participation.

All London-based, Alabanza’s work focuses on the politics of Black and Trans survival, Butler’s research focuses on “Intersectionality in literary and visual narratives” and Maheke’s practice is concerned with “the body as both an archive and territory.”
