The Young Americans group exhibition is happening at Vienna’s Franz Josefs Kai 3 gallery, opening as a part of Vienna Art Week, November 16 and running to November 30.

Curated and organised by Cornelis van Almsick and Irene Gludowacz, the show features eight US representative artists who, as the press release states “grew up as digital natives with respect to post-pop and post-minimalism”. These include Petra Cortright, Luis Gispert, Alex ItoKen OkiishiCarter MullRyan TrecartinKaari Upson and Timur Si-Qin, the latter of whom, along with Okiishi, will be present for an artist talk led by Jade Niklai on November 17.

The press release goes on to describe the themes of the exhibition as one exploring “the rapid changes of our time, on the internet and new media” through installation, photography and video art.
