The mysterious internet-meme-come-clean, iamamiwhoami will be playing London this week. Just the second of a short run of European tour dates at London’s  Electric Brixton Thursday, May 30, they released their debut album, kin, on their own label To Whom It May Concern in June, last year, proceeding to play a run of sold-out shows to follow, including Ether 2012.

The project emerged as a viral video campaign in 2009 with videos titled by numbers, like their first ‘Prelude 699130082.451322-5.4.21.3.1.20.9.15.14.1.12’, while the identities of the artists behind it remained unknown. Rumours about the voice behind the blonde female figure abounded, with Christina Aguilera featuring strongly. It turned out to be Swedish pop performer Jonna Lee, who’s since remade herself with the aid of the internet and producer Claes Björklund. Book ticket here.**
