Nowadays launching comic web projects like Javier Mora Bordel‘s Palabra tomada is quite rare. Well, technically speaking it’s not new, as his other blog PT has been online for quite a few years now, but the new refurbished Palabra Tomada, and after many months preparing it, presents itself as a monthly publication with several short stories.

Whilst in Spanish, we highly recommend it for the quality of its approach and the great artists who’ve decided to trust Javier and jump on board.

The project makes use of some of the crazy ideas mentioned by some of the interviewed artists from the past few years, they reshape it and give it to a Spanish illustrator to see what they can come up with, with one single objective: entertain us.

The result is this first number which presents us 3 short stories: Alfonso Font & Iñaket’s Four seasons. Fidel Martínez and Javier Mora’s “Selene”, and last but not least Mora & Fran Menor’s Satellite comic.

A risky launch which will hopefully for many years to come. More this way.
